Bob graduated from Crown Point High School in 1968 and then served in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam. Bob married Deborah (Debbi) Giarraputo on February 17th, 1973. They shared 52 loving years of marriage together.
He is survived by his wife, Debbi; children: Nikki (Rick Albanese) and their children Adelyn, Brailyn, and Cailyn; Cameron (Michelle) and their children Emerson and Delaney; Blayre (Mike Schultz) and their children Maddux and Rainer; Simon (Kaitlin) and their children Luke and William, Sydnee (Matthew De Jong) and their children Canaan, Easton, and Phineas. He was preceded in death by his father, Grover; mother, Gladys, and two sisters Joan and Doris, and their husbands Paul Hughes and Earl Brummett.
Bob proudly worked as a union car hauler for Cassens Transport, dedicating decades to safely delivering new vehicles across the country. Known for his strong work ethic and commitment to the open road, he retired in 2013 after a long and respected career in the transportation industry.
When Bob wasn't supporting his kids and grandkids at one of their sporting events, he enjoyed traveling with his wife along with his close friends and family. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a true James Bond movie fan! He was a member of the American Legion Post 261. Bob will be remembered most for being a loving husband, father, Papa, uncle and friend whose hard work, loyalty, and unwavering support meant the world to them. He will be greatly missed.
