Robert fought with the US Navy in the Pacific during World War II and the US Marine Corps in Korea where he was wounded and awarded the Purple Heart. After his military service, he returned to New York City, began a successful career in Finance and met the love of his life, Marilyn Ruzicka. They were married in 1956 and had two sons Stephen and Glenn. After retirement, Robert and Marilyn moved to Toms River, NJ where he enjoyed golfing, spending time with friends, family and traveling. Robert and Marilyn were married for 50 years until her death in 2007. In 2014, Robert moved to Newark, Delaware to be closer to his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
