Kernersville - Mr. Robert Davidson Renegar, 81, passed away Friday, December 20, 2024, at the North Carolina State Veterans Home, Kernersville. He was born July 27, 1943, in Maryville, TN, the son of David “Ed” and Anna Hall Renegar. He was retired from the United States Air Force and enjoyed playing golf, reading, and running. Robert had a profound sense of humor, loved sarcasm and was devoted to his family. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Patricia Hambly Renegar. Survivors include two daughters, Stephanie Brown (Hal) of Asheville and Janet Powell (David) of Winston Salem; a son, Joseph Renegar (Elizabeth) of Weaverville; two sisters, Ruth Gunnell of Columbia, SC and Sue DeHart of Sparta, TN; a brother, Steve Renegar (Ellen) of Oak Ridge, TN; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. Services will be held at a later date. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
