Robert G. Riordan, 92, of Worcester passed away on September 4, 2025. He was the oldest son of John J. and Nancy T. (Hassett) Riordan of Worcester. Bob is survived by his two brothers William J. and Maureen Riordan of Shrewsbury, and Jack B. and Janice M Riordan of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina and by his sister-in-law Mary Riordan of Old Orchard, Maine, spouse of his brother Paul J. Riordan who passed away in 2015. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Bob graduated from North High School, Worcester, in 1951 and served in the US military for 14 years. He was a US Navy Petty Officer and Radioman from 1951-1961. He served on LST 306 in Greenland and on the attack transport USS Noble in the Pacific and Korea. He also served in the US Army as a Sergeant E-6, 1963-1966 in Korea. He was a graduate of the US Army Language School, Monterey, California, 1964. Bob retired from the US Postal Service in 1995.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 10th from 10:30am-11:00am at Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester, MA. A funeral service will take place at 11:00am, in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester, MA.
