Robert Wesley Baldwin, affectionately known as “Rob Base,” was born on June 19, 1969, in High Point, North Carolina, to Donavau Baldwin Sr. and Dorothy “Annette” Baldwin. He was a proud graduate of Ragsdale High School, Class of 1988, and was formerly employed at Beeson Hardware in High Point.
Rob accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and was a lifelong member of Williams Memorial CME Church, where he worshipped faithfully for over 50 years.
A kind-hearted, humble, and laid-back man, Rob had a passion for sports and was a die-hard fan of the UNC Tar Heels and the New York Giants. He also loved drag racing, good music, and collecting model cars. Rob was a true sneaker enthusiast with a deep appreciation for stylish footwear. Above all, he was a devoted husband, loving father, and loyal friend.
Rob departed this life on May 18, 2025. He was preceded in death by his father, Donavau Baldwin Sr.; his sister, Donna Baldwin; his paternal grandparents, Jarvis and Flossie Baldwin; and his maternal grandparents, Robert and Catherine Brown.

He shared a special bond with his uncle Doug and his niece Kinyata Simmons, both of whom held a cherished place in his heart.
