Robert B. "Bob" Roe, 83, of Kent, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024 with his loving daughter by his side. He was born May 26, 1941 to the late Elwood and Bettie Roe (nee Bevington).
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lorraine in 2014, sisters Carole Rawson and Linda Taylor, and brother-in-law Homer Bevington.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Beth Roe (Wes Williamson); nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Bob was the ultimate vehicle guy, working in the automotive industry as a welder for almost 40 years. After retiring from General Motors, Bob traveled with his wife Lorraine across the country on their touring motorcycle. He was a drag racer and a "gearhead", and was awarded a Local Legend award by his peers and friends. Bob was also a former president of the Classic Wing Club, and thrived among the members, who also shared a love of the classic gold wing motorcycles.
If he loved anything without wheels, it was certainly his wife Lorraine and daughter Beth, whom he encouraged to embrace his hobbies; both enthusiastically participated as his "pit crew".
