Robert Henry Rosenzweig, 86, of Florence, Hebron, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 22, 2025. Born on January 19, 1939, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Robert lived a life marked by service, dedication, and quiet strength. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, and after his military service, he found his calling as an educator, devoting his career to teaching high school Science in the Cincinnati Public Schools. A man of deep faith, Robert was a longtime member of Hebron Lutheran, Gloria Dei Lutheran and Westwood First Presbyterian Church. He loved the music of the church, particularly classical and the powerful pipe organ music. He spent many years singing in the church choir. He found great joy and peace in nature and was an avid gardener. He grew vegetables, composted and even had a stint at beekeeping. He was rarely idle-whether wood carving, baking bread, canning vegetables, reading, solving crossword puzzles, or tending to his family and home, he embraced each day with thoughtfulness and care. Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Sandra Rosenzweig; his parents Christian Rosenzweig and Emma Hoberg; his brother, John Rosenzweig; and his sisters, Miriam Phillips, Wilma Hoffman, and Doris Orben. He is survived by his devoted daughters, Kristen (Kenji) Boston and Kim Siegel. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Kaden, Kyler, and Kory Boston and Cameron Siegel. He will be remembered for his quiet wisdom, playful humor and dedication to his family and faith. A Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of Funeral Service at 11:00 A.M. at Serenity Funeral Care, 40 West 6th Street, Covington, KY 41011. Interment with Military Honors will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cincinnati. Online condolences may be shared on Facebook or at SerenityFuneralCare.com. Robert's legacy of love, learning, and service will live on in all who knew him.
