Robert Ruby Obituary
Bob graduated from Alton High School and went on to study at SIU Business School. After his early years of selling insurance, working at Laclede Steel and driving for Colonial Bakery, he established and opened a successful business at the Restoration House Auto Body in 1980. His passion for cars extended to car shows and drag strips, where he proudly displayed and raced his restored vehicles.
He married his long-time love, Pam Perfetti and she survives. He is also survived by two children: Diane (Mike) Schuette of Wood River and Robert 'Patrick' Ruby of East Alton; four grandchildren: Ryan Schuette, Megan Schuette, Trisha Ruby, Kristen Ruby, along with six great-grandchildren; his sister, Pam Kodros, several cousins, nephews, as well as his dear friends, Keith and Mary Kelley.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kevin.
Memorials may be directed to Paws Care in Hillsboro.
Cremation services entrusted to Hough Funeral Homes. The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.

Bob was the example of a true American! I truly miss him and his stories. He was a wealth of knowledge. He ran a good business all the way til his last day. It was an honor knowing him and exchanging business through the years.
