We are sad to announce the passing of Robert B Russell (Bob). He passed away peacefully on Friday, March 14, 2025 at 7:05pm at Parkwest Hospital in Knoxville, TN. Bob lived a life of Christian leadership and dedication to his family.
Bob was an Auburn University Graduate (Delta Tau Delta Fraternity). He was a plant manager at Lamson & Session and the president at Vulcan Rivet and Bolt Corp, and he retired in 1997. He was in the Airforce for 4 years, working as a radio operator and he was a morse code specialist. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, photography, yard work, and he was a ham radio operator for over 50 years.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Edna Russell; son, Rusty Russell; mother and father, Doris and Bunyan Russell; and his brother, Milton Russell.
Bob is survived by his son, Jack Russell (Brenda Russell), daughter in law, Letha; grandchildren, Kathryn Greene (Gregory), Hannah, and Abbey; and 3 great grandchildren. There will be a visitation on Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 10:00-11:00am, with a service to follow at 11:00am at First Baptist Church, 221 North Alston St, Foley, AL 36535, Pastor Drew Whittington officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made the First Baptist Church Foley Youth Department.

Bob was "The Cookie Monster in my mind because he loved cookies! After Edna died, I tried to keep him supplied with cookies. He was a precious, Godly friend while we were co- members at Foley First Baptist Church, and we stayed in touch when we moved to TN! He is already missed!
