Robert Scott Ryan Sr.

Robert Scott Ryan, Sr., "Bobby", 98, of Winchester, VA died, January 14, 2026 at his residence.

Bobby was born May 28, 1927 in Winchester; son of the late, Robert Raymond and Mary Elizabeth Haymaker Ryan. He served his country in the US Army. Bobby was the manager at the VA ABC store on Loudoun Street until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of the Winchester Moose Lodge and the American Legion of Capon Bridge, WV.

Bobby married Martha Amelia Bowers Ryan, February 21, 1953 in Winchester, VA. She preceded him in death in 2014.

He is survived by his daughter, Ann Scott Ryan Snapp "Scottie" (Franklin) of Winchester; son, Robert Scott Ryan, Jr. (Lisa) of Winchester; granddaughters, Amelia Snapp, and Harley Ryan; grandson, Andrew Snapp; great granddaughter, Martha Snapp; brother, Jack Maddox Ryan (Shirley) of Winchester and many nieces and nephews.

Along with his wife, Bobby is preceded in death by his brother, John Allen Ryan and sisters, June Beverley Miller, Betty Lee Hill, Jean Kathryn Drumheller, Colleen Elizabeth White and Patricia Hunt Grandstaff.

The family will receive friends at Jones Funeral Home, Wednesday, January 21, 2026 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. A graveside service will be Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Mount Hebron Cemetery, Winchester, VA with Pastor Kyle Sheeley officiating.
