Robert “Bob” L Schafer, 75, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Parkview Care Center. He was born on October 17, 1950 in Fremont, OH to Duane C. And Marilyn (Coonrod) Schafer. Bob was a 1968 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.
Bob was a lifelong Beatles enthusiast and his love of The Beatles continues to influence his surviving generations of children and grandchildren. He also loved Elvis Presley and was especially interested in the history of the Western American frontier, most notably The Battle of the Alamo. He was an avid collector of coins, rock memorabilia and things related to the Old West.
Bob was known for his unfailing sense of humor and skillful impressions of celebrities such as Elvis and The Three Stooges, whom he impersonated for radio commercials for several years.
He is survived by his sons, Tom Schafer, Jay Schafer; daughter, Rebecca (Schafer) Adams; nieces, Amber Jones, Amy Shedenhelm, Ashley and Jessica Schafer, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, James Schafer, his former wife, Cheryl Marie (Bradford) Karr, and his wife, Doris (Sears) Schafer.
Memorials can be made in his honor to the American Cancer Association.
