Robert Senecal Obituary
Rob was born on June 23, 1969 in Sharon, Ct. to Jerry and Mary (Limoges) Senecal. He graduated from Webutuck High School in 1988. He began his NYS service on July 2, 1987 at Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center in Wingdale, NY. Shortly after, Rob went on to become a Safety Officer at Wassaic DDSO. He later transferred to Mid-Hudson Psychiatric Center, retiring in October of 2011.
Rob loved his sports! He enjoyed playing golf and looked forward to the tennis matches with his brother. Rob was an avid NY Yankees fan and loved the NY Jets. Rob also enjoyed spending time with family. He loved to cook and host large parties in his younger years. Rob's lucky number was 23. In his later years he helped with foster children and donated his time to Meals on Wheels.
Survived by his daughter Gennie (Colin) Clokey of New Milford, CT and his three beautiful granddaughters Lacey, Winter and Penelpe Clokey; his father Jerry R. Senecal (Pam Glasser) of Hudson NY; sister Patricia L Sawicki (Richard Demarais) of Wassaic, NY; Two brothers Jeffrey S. Senecal of Dover Plains, NY and Francis K. Senecal (Mickey Delormier) of Plattsburgh, NY. Rob was an amazing uncle to several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind loving aunts, uncles, cousins and several friends. Rob will be greatly missed by many.
He is predeceased by his Mother, Mary M. (Limoges) Senecal.
There will be a Celebration of Life funeral Mass at Notre Dame Church in Ogdensburg, NY on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 10:00 am. Burial will immediately follow at the Notre Dame Cemetery.
