Robert Grant Sereno, age 87, of Tucson passed away peacefully with family and friends by his side and was born to eternal life on March 10, 2025.
Born on October 10, 1937, to Teresa (Padula) and Frank Sereno in Chicago IL. Robert was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and cherished family and friend to many others. He lived a life full of love, passion and inspiration. He will be remembered as a hardworking man who always kept himself busy, embracing every moment with determination and purpose.
Robert was an avid golfer, woodworking hobbyist and enjoyed cooking Italian meals with his family while teaching his children and grandchildren recipes handed down thru generations. He enjoyed working with his hands and tools (there was no tool he did not have in his workshop) He also enjoyed occasional trips to Las Vegas to test his luck at the tables and had a distinguished career in the construction business.
Robert is survived by his children Mary Rose (Patrick) McCarthy and Robert (Dania) Sereno; Brother John Sereno; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren; uncle to many, especially Elizabeth (Roger) Guth. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Teresa and beloved wife Mary Ruth.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Via Elegante (Tucson) for their compassionate care and support.
Robert's legacy of love, hard work, and perseverance will live on in all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
