Robert A. Sheredy

Robert A. Sheredy, 92 of Johnson City went to be with his Lord on Wednesday March 11, 2026 at his home. Bob passed just a week after his wife MaryJoan. We are comforted to know that they are now back together, and their love story continues in the arms of God. He was predeceased by his wife Mary Joan Sheredy; parents Andrew and Marie Sheredy; brothers James and William. He is survived by his loving daughters Kathleen Gage, Joanne Matias; sons and daughter in law Michael Sheredy, Thomas and Kathryn Sheredy; sister in law Beverly Sheredy;14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; also, several nieces & nephews. Our dad enjoyed building two homes for his family and taking trips to Lancaster, PA and New Jersey and great times with his family in Barnesboro, PA. He was a long-time member, usher and bereavement luncheon group worker at St. James Church Johnson City and the JC K of C, . He retired from the IBM Corp after 38 years where he was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was a member of the Army National Guard many years ago. He loved his Polkas on Sunday as well as the traditional Sunday Evening Brozzetti's Pizza dinners. Mom is in heaven and pleased as her "driver" has joined her there!

The family would like to thank their sister Joanne for the selfless, loving care that she provided to her parents.

A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday March 20, 2026 at 11am at St James Church Johnson City. The Rev. Brendan Foley will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. A live stream of the service can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXM-IoMAReLU9t-8G8V1HUQ. The family will receive friends on Friday at 9:30am until the time of the Mass at the church. The family wishes to thank Dr. Lazarus Gehring for his loving care.In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the St. James Food Pantry.
