ROBERT J. SIMONEAU age 88, loving husband of the late Donna M. (nee Dunham); loving father of Michelle Johansen (Bill), Mary Zbin (Steve), R. John (Jamie), Lisa Simoneau Bender (George-deceased), Jean Blalock, Tom (deceased), Laurence (deceased), Sam Burrell and Paul; loving grandpa of Charles, Alexandria, Michael, Jessica, Wruin, Stephanie, Bobby, Tremon, Daniel, Lili, Jeremiah, Zachary, Anthony, Isaiah, Sam Jr., Shiloh, Christopher, Aliyah, Luke, Elise (deceased), Miles and Henry; Papa's great-grandchildren: Alby, Hiro, Emi, Enzo, Miyo, Levi, Jaxon (deceased), Naomi, Liesl, Ellie, Kylo and Koa; brother of the late Julie LaFond (Lee) and Paul Simoneau; brother-in-law of Mary Petersmark (Robert - deceased) and the late James Dunham; dear uncle and great-uncle of many; dear friend of many. Bob graduated from the University of Detroit as a Mechanical Engineer where he met his wife of 49 years. He went on to a long career at NASA. After retiring from NASA, he spent 10 years teaching engineering to the next generation at Carnegie-Mellon and Penn State, Berhend. His retirement was spent serving many people through the Volunteer Income Tax Association for 15 years. He was a long-time member of St. Malachi, ASME, the Dining Around Gang and the Turbine Cooling Group. Dad will always be remembered for his generosity and service towards family, friends and anyone in need. Passed away, Saturday, February 14, 2026. US Army Veteran. Funeral Mass, St. Malachi Church (West 25th and Detroit Ave., Cleveland), Friday, February 20th at 10 AM (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, Avon. Friends may call in the McGORRAY-HANNA FUNERAL HOME OF LAKEWOOD, 14133 Detroit Ave., THURSDAY from 4 – 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to the City Mission or St. Malachi Parish's Back Door Ministry.
