Funeral Services for Robert “Rob” Allan Smelser, 43, of Calhoun, LA will be held at 11:00AM Thursday, August 8, 2024, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Ross Carter officiating. Interment will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Calhoun.
Rob was born on June 14, 1981, in West Monroe, LA and passed away on August 4, 2024, in Calhoun, LA. He was a tattoo artist serving from Monroe to Shreveport, LA. Rob worked for the Ouachita Parish Police Jury. For several years he enjoyed coaching youth football, t-ball and baseball. Rob is preceded in death by his brother-in-law/friend, Tim Sellers; great-nephew, Drake Hanks, and grandparents.
Survivors include his wife, Victoria Smelser; daughter, Katelynn Cummings; sons, Memphis and Colton Smelser; grandson, Waylon Cummings; parents, Douglas Wren Smelser and Charlotte Smelser; brother, Jason Smelser; sister, Vanessa Sellers; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jody Wallce, Josh Cummings, Meaux Hanson, Tony Valdez, Brian Lenard, and Michael Sellers. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Calhoun Braves Football Team 2015-2019.
Visitation will be held from 9:00AM until service time on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
