Robert K. Smith, 70, of Warwick died Monday at Kent Hospital. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Maine) Smith.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Vincent L. Smith, Sr. and Joan (O'Toole) Smith-Nordin, he had been a Warwick resident for over thirty years. A 1974 graduate of Cranston East High School, Mr. Smith was a lithographer and worked in marketing for the wire and cable industry. More importantly, he was a full-time dad to his daughters. Proud of his Irish heritage, Mr. Smith was active in the Ancient Order of Hibernians and served as the president, vice president, and treasurer.

Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Margaret J. Smith (Richard Batchelder) of Block Island and Elizabeth M. Smith of Warwick. He was the brother of Vincent L. Smith, Jr. of Cranston, Brian M. Smith of Warwick, Timothy W. Smith of Largo, Florida, and the late Kathleen J. Hutton.

His funeral will be Saturday, January 31st at 8:30 AM from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Peter Church, 350 Fair street, Warwick at 9:30 AM. Calling Hours Friday January 30th 4-7 PM. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
