Robert Michael Socia, Sr., 68 of Star City, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2024 at his home. He was born January 19, 1956 in Pine Bluff to the late Horace "Shorty" and Itazo Linzy Socia. He was an ASE Master Tech mechanic for Trotter Ford, was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, he loved visiting with family and friends, fishing and traveling.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Darlene Socia; 3 brothers, Carl Socia, Jimmy Socia, and Infant Socia; and a sister, Judy McFall.
Survivors include a son, Mikey Socia of Star City; daughter, Docia (James) Chapman of White Hall; 3 brothers, Ken (Susan) Socia of Fayetteville, Elwood (LeAnne) Socia and Ricky Socia, both of Rison; 3 sisters, Barbara Burkhart of Fayetteville, Patsy Ferrell of Pine Bluff, and Karen (Doug) Abner of Morrilton; 6 grandchildren, Elizabeth Tedder, Amber Carrington, Emily Boyd, William Socia, Brian Socia, and Bella Socia; 10 great-grandchildren; and his best friend, Cupid.
Funeral services are 2:00PM Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Griffin Funeral Service Chapel in Star City with AJ Robinson officiating. Visitation is 1:00-2:00PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Honorary pallbearers are Brian Hunsaker, Charles Case, and Joey Nicholson.
