Robert Lamar Spainhouer, 62, of Jonesboro, passed away on December 27, 2025, at his home. Lamar was born in Dumas, AR, on November 22, 1963, to the late Bobby and Sue Spainhouer. In addition to his parents, Lamar was preceded in death by his sister, Bobbi Sue Krank; brother-in-law, Steve Tidwell; cousin, Steve Spainhouer; and grandmother, Leon Stovall.
Lamar was born and raised in South Arkansas, spending most of his time around Watson and Dumas. In 1991, he moved to Jonesboro and, a year later, married the love of his life, Mary Spainhouer. Lamar was an endearing man who never met a stranger. He told great stories, even if you had heard them before. Lamar’s work as a financial advisor with Benjamin Edwards kept him busy. Even with his main job, he was always working on side projects and piddling around. Although he stayed busy, Lamar always found time for his hobbies and family. Whether deer hunting and fishing with friends at the Ok Hunting Club, grilling out and cooking with the family, or taking trips with his son to the family farm, Lamar always made time for the things he cherished. But the most important part of his life was his family. Lamar’s love for his wife and kids was boundless. His impact and presence in others’ lives will never be outshone, and Lamar will be greatly missed.
Lamar is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mary Spainhouer; son, Cole Spainhouer (Sara Kate Brown), of Little Rock; daughter, Anna Spainhouer, of Cincinnati, OH; and a host of family, friends, and loved ones.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Emerson Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm the following day, December 31, 2025, at Watson Cemetery in Watson, AR.
