Robert Spencer Obituary
He was born in Kansas City, Missouri on August 18, 1936, to Oran and Ethel Spencer. He graduated from East High School in Kansas City and then joined the Military serving honorably for a total of 20 years. The Marine corps for 12 years, and Army for 8, including 3 tours in Vietnam. He was a two-time bronze star medal recipient. During his service in the military he met and married his wife, Elizabeth in Oceanside, California on January 4, 1964.
After his service in the military, he worked for the United States Postal Service until his retirement. Robert lived in Colorado, Bandon, Oregon, and Aumsville, Oregon since 2003.
He is preceded in death by his wife; Elizabeth Spencer, brothers; Delbert Spencer and Kenneth Owens, daughter; Diane Spencer, and granddaughter; Carrie Spencer.
He is survived by his siblings; Alice Spencer Phillips, David Spencer, and Rodger Spencer, children; John Degroot and Robbie Spencer, and his grandchild Alison Parker.
