A visitation and gathering for Robert “Bob” Stafford, 84, of Cleburne will be from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at the funeral home.
Bob passed away Thursday, April 4, 2024, in Cleburne. He was born January 8, 1940 in Bridgeport, Connecticut to Charles Gilbert and Leona May (Stout) Stafford. Bob married Carol Jean York on March 18, 1961 in Grand Prairie, Texas. He was of the Methodist faith. Bob worked in Energy distribution as a Technician for United Co-op, and also for Cleburne Hardware, and Sears. He was the #1 Super proud Aggie Grandpa who truly loved his grandchildren. Bob enjoyed being outdoors with the wildlife, loved fishing and traveling by car (road trippin). One of his favorite snacks was a Pepsi and Chips Ahoy cookie. Bob was quiet and quick-witted. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Carol Jean Stafford; children, Joyce Stafford, and Lynn Poulson and husband, Scott; grandchildren, Nikki, Josh, Shelbie, Blake, Gabbie, and Gavin; bonus grandchildren, Michael, Rowan & Megan; great-grandson, Mason; and great-granddaughter Riverlyn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Robert Stafford; brother, Thomas G. Stafford; and sister, Emily Mae Stafford.
