Robert Stalter Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bowers Funeral Home - Houlton on Jan. 10, 2026.
Howland – It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Robert "Bob" Stalter. Bob passed away unexpectedly on January 5, 2026, at his residence in Howland. Bob was born on June 23, 1969, in Bangor, the son of Frederick and Marion (Crawford) Stalter.
Bob grew up in Hampden and was a graduate of Hampden Academy, class of 1988. After high school, he enlisted in the Army, where he spent eight years and was proud to be a M-60 gunner with the 32nd Infantry. After he was honorably discharged from the service, he spent his career in the kitchens of a couple different restaurants, being a manager and a cook.
Bob always had a big smile on his face that could light up a room and had a heart of gold that was constantly ready to help. He was faithful to The Lord, and he sowed the seeds his entire life, giving encouragement to all and leading several people to Christ, which he was very proud of. He was a member of Lincoln Christian Fellowship and will be greatly missed by his church family.
In his spare time, you could find Bob roaming the gaming world as "Bad Karma" or "Sarkos" in Everquest, having his own guild of Iron Wolf. Beyond gaming, he enjoyed spending time with his brother Joe, riding motorcycles, golfing and going on trips.
Bob's passing leaves a huge fluffin void for a lot of people. He is survived by his brothers, Joseph Stalter of Lincoln and Frederick Stalter Jr. of Dexter; sisters, Helen Santiago of Livingston, TX and Annette Kuhn of Quinlan, TX; nieces, Keera Stalter of Milo, Zulma Santiago of Livingston, TX, Kaitlynn Faw of Knoxville, TN, Allyssa Stalter of Bangor, Katrina Stalter of Belfast and Kailee Stalter of Dexter; nephews, Kaden Stalter of Lincoln and Julio Santiago III of Livingston, TX; special friends, Douglas Grant of Hampden, Lisa Sholler of Howland, Josh Sholler of Bangor and Jakob Sholler of Bangor and many, many more. Bob was predeceased by his mother and father, Marion and Frederick Stalter Sr.
A Celebration of life will be held Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 2PM at Lincoln Christian Fellowship, 689 W. Broadway, Lincoln. A Summer burial with Military honors is planned for July, in conjunction with honoring Bob at our annual Summer-fest get together on July 25, 2026, at 68 Taylor St. Lincoln, ME.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bob's name to Lincoln Christian Fellowship and its ministries.
