On November 21, 2024 the world lost a remarkable spirit in Robert Anthony Stanziano, fondly known as Bobby to his friends and family. Born on July 19, 1949 in Lorain, Ohio, Bobby's journey through life was marked by a warm-heartedness and enthusiasm that touched everyone he met.
Bobby was a proud graduate of Admiral King, where he not only received his education but also built the foundation of lifelong friendships. His dedication to hard work was evident in his careers with Kerr Beverage, Lorain Steel Mill, Valero Gas, managing Lakeview apartments, and he was a proud owner of Johnny K's Tavern for 13 years. Bobby's commitment to his job was paralleled only by his commitment to the people he worked with and served.
Away from work, Bobby found solace and joy in his involvement with the VFW in Amherst Post 1462. His service to the community through the VFW was indicative of his generous nature and his unwavering support for fellow veterans. He honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1969 until 1972. Bobby's passion for his country was matched by his love of sports. He could often be found cheering on his favorite teams, sharing in the camaraderie and excitement that only sports can bring. In Bobby's spare time, he enjoyed golfing, bowling, and fishing with his friends and family.
Family was the cornerstone of Bobby's life. He married the love of his life, Carol A. (nee Martin) Stanziano, on April 31, 2000. His love for his grandchildren knew no bounds, and he cherished every moment spent with them. His storytelling, often featuring tales of his own past experiences or classic westerns he adored, was a source of joy and laughter at family gatherings. Bobby's presence was a comforting and unifying force within the family, and his legacy of love and kinship will live on through them.
Bobby's passing in Amherst, Ohio, marks the conclusion of a life lived with unbridled affection and an open heart. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. The memories of his vibrant spirit, the echoes of his laughter, and the imprint of his kindness will endure in the hearts of his loved ones. His was a life well-lived, full of the simple pleasures that make life rich, and the impact of his warmth and generosity will be felt for generations to come.
As we bid farewell to Bobby, we celebrate the life of a man who was truly one of a kind. His journey through life serves as a reminder to cherish the time we have with our loved ones, to embrace our passions, and to always extend a hand in fellowship and support. Bobby may have left this world, but the light he brought into it will shine perpetually.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Shirley (nee Cendrosky) Stanziano; and brother, Tony Anthony Stanziano.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 23 years, Carol Stanziano; brother, Paul (Cheri) Stanziano of Grafton; sister, RaeAnn Scott of Amherst; daughters, Stephanie Stanziano of Lakewood, Nicole (Matt) Macan, and Natalie (Jeff Reichert) Stanziano; and grandchildren, Jeffrey, Anthony, Parker, Carter, and Tanner.
The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2150 Broadway, Lorain, OH on Monday, November 25, 2024 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM. Private burial services will be held at a later date at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst. Online condolences may be sent using [email protected].
