Robert Freeman Starling

Starling – Robert Freeman Starling, age 58, of Bradford County, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025, at E.T. York Care Center in Gainesville, Florida. He was born on March 23, 1967, in Orange Park, Florida, to the late Freeman Robert Starling and Rosa Marie Starling. Robert was a lifelong resident of Bradford County, where he was raised on Sampson Lake alongside his parents and siblings. A naturally gifted musician, Robert took great pride in his talent as a guitarist-mastering both acoustic and electric styles. His music ranged from heartfelt country to spirited rock, and he often shared his love of music with family and friends. In his spare time, Robert enjoyed fishing with his nephews and creating cherished memories with those he loved. He shared an especially deep bond with his twin sister, Brenda-the two were inseparable throughout their lives. Robert had a generous heart and a special love for children. One of his most beloved traditions was bringing ice cream to the neighborhood kids each week. Robert was a kind and caring soul whose presence brightened the lives of those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Tonya Starling; and his brother, Rickie Wayne Starling.

Robert is Survived by his son; Joshua Starling, Loving Twin Brenda Bennett; sister Angela Clark; brother, Mark Starling; grandson Joshua Starling, Jr.; nephew's Dillon Wilkerson, Christopher and Jonathon Prevatt and niece Monica Starling. Along with many extended family members and friends.

A Celebration of Robert's Life will be held on Thursday July 24 ,2025. Visitation to begin at 2:00 pm with Service to follow at 3:00 pm at Archie Tanner Memorial Chapel.
