Robert Stephan Obituary
Bob was born on Friday June 13, 1930, to the union of Robert and Pauline at their farm home in Madison, IN.
Bob attended all 12 grades and graduated from North Madison High School in the class of 1948. Work began immediately at Pearl Packing Co.
Bob is preceded in death by his father, mother and sister Irene (Renee). Surviving his wife, Sue of 68 years, sons Gary and Alan (Terina), 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Bob will be held from 12pm-1pm on Friday August 1, 2025, at the St. Paul Life Plan Community, 3602 S. Ironwood Dr. South Bend. A funeral service will begin at 1pm and burial will follow with military honors at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.
Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel is honored to be caring for Bob and his family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 3012 S. Twyckenham Dr. South Bend.

My sincere condolences on losing such a wonderful man. I worked at Vel-Mac with Bob in the 70´s and he was such an exceptional man and boss. We even started up corresponding with letters the last couple of years after being away from South Bend for over 40 years. He was one in a million! May all of his family and friends remember all of their happy memories to help manage their grief. Diane Veldman

Sue, and family, I am sorry to hear of Bob's passing - I hope he was peaceful and not suffering. I have such good memories of Bob while I was Chaplain at St. Paul's. He was always kind, welcoming, and knew how to enjoy life and laugh. My prayers are with you, Sue, and your family as you miss his presence.
