Robert J. Stephens, age 94 of Two Rivers, passed away Friday evening, July 11, 2025 at the Northland Lodge in Two Rivers.
Robert was born March 13th, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois to Jersey and Vera (Brown) Stephens. He attended schools in Chicago, graduating from Markum High School then furthered his education to earn his Industrial Engineering Degree from Illinois Institute of Technology. He was united in marriage to Mary Ann Gollin on September 6, 1952 in Harvey, Illinois. Mary Ann preceded him in death on December 31, 2012.
The couple moved to Two Rivers in 1956 where Bob was employed with Hamilton Industries. He later worked for Eggers Plywood in Two Rivers for 37 years, retiring in 1995 as plant engineer. Robert and Mary Ann were longtime faithful members of Grace Congregational United Church of Christ. Bob will be remembered by many for writing many children's stories; he enjoyed woodworking, loved to walk, and forever cherished his wife, Mary Ann.
He is survived by his two sons: Mark Stephens (Linda Maddalena) of Bismarck, N.D., and Jeffrey (Trish) Stephens of Two Rivers; his grandchildren: Patrick Zachary, Nikki Kivthyll, Aimee (Andy) Peterson, Jennifer Stephens, Leslie Stevens (Matt), Eric Stephens (Kassidi); along with several great-grandchildren; and one brother-in-law, Buster (Pat) Gollin.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th Street, Two Rivers, Tuesday, July 22nd from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 2:45 p.m. led by Chaplain Clive Cabey. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Robert's name.
The Stephens family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the wonderful staff at Northland Lodge for the compassionate care extended. Special thanks also to the caregivers of St. Croix Hospice for their kindness and support.
