TECUMSEH – Robert Harold Stiver, age 71, of Tecumseh, died Friday, May 17, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his family while in the compassionate care of Hospice of Lenawee. Born on June 21, 1952, he was the son of Edward and Bessie (Bridenthal) Stiver.
Bob retired from Ford Motor Company. He loved taking trips on his motorcycle and was a former member of the Centurions Motorcycle Club. His favorite place to visit was the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. He enjoyed fishing and watching football and baseball, always rooting for the Detroit Lions and Tigers. Bob highly regarded his personal health and physical fitness, and he took pleasure in body building and lifting weights. The greatest joy of his life was his family.
Surviving is the mother of his children, Joann Stiver of Tecumseh; his daughters, Julie Kandler "his precious jewel" of Romulus, MI; and Katie Stiver of Tecumseh; two brothers, Ronald Stiver of Belleville and Alan "Richie" (Annie) Stiver of Jerome; sister, Elaine (Brian) Smith of Muskegon, MI; six grandchildren, JR, Jacob, Kendall, Carter, London, and Lyla; three great-grandchildren; and his favorite nephew and right-hand man, Charles "Spanky" (Daniella) Ruiz.
The family extends their utmost gratitude to his team of caregivers, Deedee smith, Trudy Pavelka and Justin Charlton, as well as Hospice of Lenawee, especially Crystal and Kim, for all of their love and care they provided Robert over the past several years.
Cremation will take place. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
