Robert Stuck Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Marry Funeral Home - Hudson Chapel on Mar. 24, 2024.
HUDSON – Robert Dean Stuck, age 72, of rural Hudson, died Saturday evening, March 23, 2024, at ProMedica Hickman Hospital in Adrian. He was born in Hudson on July 29, 1951, the son of Forest and Edith (Dopp) Stuck.
Bob was a 1969 graduate of Pittsford High School. He served his country as a member of the United States Army from 1971 – 1973. In 1974, he started what would become a 38-year career with the United Parcel Service. He was recognized with several awards for his safe driving over the years, spending most of his tenure on a route that served the communities of Deerfield and Petersburg. He retired from UPS in 2012.
A simple man, Bob was happiest when in the presence of his family and lifelong friends, and being close to home. One of Bob's favorite pastimes was enjoying beverages at Butch's Sports Bar while socializing with his friends and other patrons. In recent years, he was proud to assume the title of "Papa", and he loved investing time supporting his grandkids with their horses and various sporting events. He is remembered by his family for his reliable nature-always keeping his word, and his fun sense of humor, including his ability to make light of nearly any circumstance with his witty jokes.
Bob married the former Victoria "Vicki" Krell on June 27, 1981, in Hudson, and together they raised two children and celebrated over 42 years as husband and wife. She survives. Also surviving is his daughter, Dani (Phil) Marteney of Hudson; son, Jacob Dean (Lacey) Stuck of Hudson; four grandchildren, Ruby and Raegan Marteney, and Katelyn and Jordan Stuck; a sister, Linda (Lloyd) Brown of Hillsdale, and a nephew, Richard Jameson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Chuck Heyck.
Cremation will take place and a celebration of life is being planned for a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Eagle-Marry Funeral Home, Hudson.
