Robert L. Stunkard, 70, of New Galilee passed away Saturday, September 27, 2025, at his residence following a lengthy illness.
Born January 6, 1955, in New Castle, he was the son of the late Robert H. and Irene Fay Dexter Stunkard.
Robert was the owner and operator of Robert Stunkard Construction and previously worked at the Ellwood City Forge. He was Christian by faith. An avid tennis player, he also enjoyed fishing at French Creek, riding his motorcycle, gardening, and taking care of his property.
He is survived by his son, Dan J. Stunkard with whom he resided; three grandsons, Tristan Stunkard of Butler, Christopher Stunkard at the home, and Isiah Stunkard of New Castle; granddaughter, Danni Lynn Stunkard at the home; sister, Susie Goehring of Fombell; two brothers, Scott (Veronica) Stunkard of Johnstown, CO and Brian Stunkard of Kuntztown, PA, and many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Steven Robert Stunkard on November 4, 2005, and his brother-in-law, Gerald Goehring on September 1, 2022.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday October 3, 2025, from 12 until the Funeral Service at 2 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main Street Wampum. Dave Keppen will officiate.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
