Robert A. Suprenant

Robert A. Suprenant, 91, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at his home in Green Valley, AZ. He was the loving husband of Kathleen M. (Szolomajer) Suprenant for 63 wonderful years until her passing in 2021. They were long time Rhode Island residents, and retired in Green Valley, AZ in 2003. He was born on December 1, 1932 in Fall River, MA to the late William P. and Edith B. (Connell) Suprenant.
Bob graduated from East Providence High School in 1952. He joined the US Army in 1953 and served as an MP for two years during the Korean War. Bob had a 35 year career with New England Telephone, retiring in 1990, but continuing on as a consulting engineer with Verizon until 1997.
Bob was active in the Freemasons, as Past Master of Manchester Lodge in 1976, former Landmark High Priest and Anointed High Priest. He was a member of the Narragansett Council, St. John's Commandery, the RI Shriners, Swords of Bunker Hill and DeMolay Legion of Honor. He was the softball and basketball coach for the Byron Northrup DeMolay teams. Bob volunteered alongside his wife at the St. Elizabeth Home in East Greenwich and was a member of Telephone Pioneer's.
Robert is survived by his daughter Debra Rosche' (husband Greg) of North Kingstown, and two grandchildren Gregory S. Rosche' II (wife Shephanie) and Robert L. Rosche'.
Calling hours will take place at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 E. Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick on Friday, January 12 from 5:00 to 6:45 p.m. A Masonic Service will commence at 6:45 p.m.
His funeral service will take place at Swan Point Cemetery's Historic Chapel, 585 Blackstone Boulevard, Providence, RI on Saturday, January 13 at 12:30 p.m. Burial with military honors will follow. A reception will take place in the collation room following the burial.
