Robert C. Sutton, age 63 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at his residence. Robert was born on July 6, 1962, in Savannah, GA, to the late William and Sue Jones Sutton.
Robert graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He retired from the United States Air Force after 21 years in Avionics and navigations systems.
After retirement, he worked at Riverside Military Academy as a tactical officer for 7 years and then retired after 17 years with Scouting America as a Senior District Executive.
He had a great love for his family, outdoors, hiking, cats, and horses.
Robert is survived by his wife, Mary Zeagler; his children, Elisabeth Sutton (Travis) of Orlando, FL, Sarah Sutton of Panama City, FL, Savannah Sutton of Richmond, VA, and Lori Sutton of Marshalltown, IA; grandchildren, Delilah Guevara and Allison Folmar; siblings, Billie Smith of Peachland, NC, Harris Sutton of Sylvania, GA, Roy Sutton and Ed Bowman of Canon City, CO, and Frances (Robert) Gattis of Montgomery, TX. Robert is also survived by Mary’s extended family, Frank M (Jan) Zeagler of Charleston, SC, Judy (Ed) Kubale of Danville, KY, Laura Jo Hill of Birmingham, AL, and Duellyn (Randy) Pandis of Tampa, FL, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
To honor his wishes, his body was cremated and no formal services were held.
