Robert Earl Tarr, 76, of Kane Run Rd., passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at his residence.
Robert was born on July 23, 1949, in Titusville to the late Frederick J. and Lura Mae Dempsey Tarr.
He was a graduate of Oil City High School, Class of 1968.
Bob worked as an equipment operator for PennDOT for over 30 years before his retirement.
Bob enjoyed hunting, spending time in the garage, where people were always welcome and you never knew who might be there. His biggest passion was dirt track racing. He was a true fan of the sport and was a car owner for more than 25 years. Bob made countless friends and memories over the years at many racetracks where his presence will be missed.
He is survived by his brother, Brian Tarr of Kaneville; his sister, Marilyn McMullen of Lugoff, SC; nieces and nephews, Brenda Miller, Deborah McAfoose and her husband Steven, Thomas McMullen and his wife Nicole, and Michael McMullen and his wife Kristen; and his close friends, Jotham Bish and his wife Becky, and their children Caleb and Katelyn.
Bob was preceded in death by his close friend Dick Pascorell.
Visitation will be held at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc., 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, on Monday, October 27th, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted from the funeral home on Tuesday, at 11:000 a.m. with pastor David McVay, officiating.
