Bob Thibeault (Robert Thibeault), 84, of Palmdale, California, passed away peacefully at home on September 2, 2025. A memorial service will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery in Lancaster, California, on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 10:30 a.m.

Born on August 5, 1941, in Manchester, New Hampshire, Bob graduated from Rocky Mountain College with a bachelor's degree and later earned a master's and several additional education credentials. He proudly served six years in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. During his college years, Bob reflected that his opportunities in leadership and writing gave him a sense of independence and helped shape his calling as an educator.

Bob devoted more than 30 years to education as a teacher, guidance counselor, school psychologist, and briefly as an administrator. Even after retiring more than 20 years ago, he continued substitute teaching as a way to remain active and engaged with the community. His caring nature left a lasting impression-students described him as "the nicest teacher."

Beyond education, Bob was a car enthusiast who, while no longer attending shows, faithfully followed his favorite automotive podcasts. He loved movies, tending to his garden, and spending time with friends. Bob also served as a foster parent for a time, opening his home to care for others.

Bob was full of life and had a gift for turning friends into family. To many, he became a father figure and grandfather, filling those roles with kindness and wisdom. He leaves behind his chosen family and dear friends, who will continue to honor his memory and carry forward the love he shared so generously.
