Robert Lyn Toalson

Robert Lyn Toalson, 72, of Eldon, Missouri, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023 at his home. He was born on August 7, 1950 in Mexico, Missouri; a son to the late Ralph M. and Jean C. (Parker) Toalson. He was united in marriage to Leigh Ann Carey on October 16, 1982, who survives at their home.
Robert was a 1969 graduate of Jefferson City High School. After graduation, he joined the United States Army in which he proudly served during Vietnam and for the National Guard until his honorable discharge in 1975. He continued his career as a car sales representative, working for the Missouri Highway Patrol as a fleet purchaser. He also served as a Reserve Officer for the Cole County Sherriff's Department. He would retire from Aflac after a successful working career.
Robert enjoyed many things in life, but some of his favorite things included spending time with his family and grandkids, boating, sports, and NASCAR. Two of his greatest accomplishments were becoming a 100-ton U.S. Coast Guard Master Captain as well as an ordained minister. He was a member of the 9th Street Christian Church in Eldon and the Miller County Republican Central Committee. Most importantly, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed immensely by those who love him.
He is survived by his wife, Leigh Ann; children, Adam (Brittany) Toalson of Eldon, Jennifer (Jon) Karr of Jefferson City, and Ashley (Stephen) Fisher of Russellville; grandchildren, Parker, Nataleigh, Cooper, Taylor (Garrett), Sidney, Abi (Tyler), Maysen, Jacob, and Joshua; and great-grandchildren, Jayden and James. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Jean, and son, Robbie Toalson.
Friends will be received on Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Millard Family Cremation and Funeral Center in Eldon. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Chris Reynolds officiating. He will be laid to rest at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens in Jefferson City.
