Amy was born on February 20, 1978 in Pryor, Oklahoma to Michael Lee Cooper and Teresa Dee (Walker) Matheney. She passed away suddenly on January 29, 2022 in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Amy grew up and attended school in Pryor. She was married to Steve Toalson on July 4, 2019 in rural Kentucky and the two made their home together in Wagoner. She was a fun loving, free spirited woman who was strong and very independent. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. She enjoyed attending the races at Salina Speedway with her family. Family was the most important part of Amy's life. She enjoyed spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She was a country music-loving, boot-loving, dress-wearing kind of lady. She loved to attend country concerts and loved taking pictures. Another love Amy had was for traveling; she loved going on trips to Panama City Beach, Florida every year where she wanted to live one day and she also loved taking cruises. She was at home when she was near the ocean.
She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by those who shared in her life.
She is survived by her husband Steve, of the home; six children, Brittany Rice and husband Wyatt of Locust Grove, Taylor Reed of Pryor, Tyler Reed and girlfriend Logan Phifer of Salina, Hailey Toalson and fiance' Chance Roach of Wagoner, Hoyt Reed of Wagoner and Colt Toalson of Wagoner; six grandchildren, Mason, Layla, Raleigh, Kennedy, Emersyn and Maddox and two more grandsons on the way; sister, Amanda Butler and husband William; half-sister, Annie Morrison of Chouteau and two grandmothers, Patricia Walker of Adair and Sharon Cooper of Locust Grove. She also has a host of other special family and friends.
She was preceded in death by grandparents and great grandparents.
