Robert Andrew Tokar, 57, of Palatine, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026 surrounded by his friends and family. Born in Chicago to the late Patricia A. (nee McPartlan) and the late Robert J. Tokar. A graduate of Northern Illinois University, Rob spent much of his career as an insurance agent. In his younger years, Rob was an all-around athlete, playing baseball, basketball and football. He was immensely proud of his attendance at Gordon Tech High School and as a starter on their football team each of his four years. Above all else, he was a devoted father and enjoyed spending time with his children more than anything in life.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Addolorata Villa would be greatly appreciated. Addolorata Villa provided a safe, loving and comfortable home for Rob for the past 9 years. The care and compassion shown by all of the associates there will never be forgotten.
