Eileen Gore

Eileen Gore passed away peacefully at her home on February 5, 2026. She was 87 years old.

Eileen had a passion for all things Ireland. She enjoyed her beloved "Irish Hour" radio program every weekend and every Irish song ever written. She would eagerly jump in with a jig, toe-tap, or sing-along. If you knew her, you also knew she was blessed with the "gift of gab" and could sustain an engaging conversation seemingly indefinitely with anyone, including the infamous 3-hour wrong-number telephone call!

Adored mother of Kelly (Robert Jr.) Ciccione, Brian (Theodora) Gore, and Erin Calhoun; Cherished grandmother of Rebeca (Matthew) Kempf, Caitlyn Ciccione, Amber Gore, Connor Gore, and Benjamin Calhoun; Treasured great-grandmother to Emilee, Ryatt, Jaxon, and Baby Kempf (arriving Aug 2026). Loving daughter of the late John and the late Helen Kelly; Caring sister of John (the late Dolores), the late Donald (Kathleen), and Brendan (the late Kathleen) Kelly; Kind aunt to many nieces and nephews; Friend to all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held from 4-8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 10, at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy, Palatine. Family and friends are invited back to the funeral home on Wednesday, February 11, for closing prayers at 10:30 AM and a procession to St. Thomas of Villanova Church for an 11:00 AM Mass.
