Robert "Bob” Coleman Tomlin, age 66, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2025, in Walton County, Georgia, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, on October 17, 1958, to Edgar and Lucille Kinard Tomlin, Bob grew up to embody the warmth and charm of his Southern roots. Known for his kind heart and optimistic spirit, Bob was the epitome of a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Kathy Humphries Tomlin, his daughter Tiffany Sartain and her husband Jason, his son Brian Skelton and wife Cacey, and his daughter Jennifer Stovall and her husband Jonathan. His legacy continues through the joy and laughter of his grandchildren: Madisyn, Conor, James, Laney, and Emilia. He is also survived by his sister, Dee Tomlin Doss, and nephews Jacob and Daniel Doss (Evey Sweeney), as well as his cherished dawg, Kirby and many cherished lifetime friends. Bob’s passion for life was evident to all who knew him. A graduate from the University of Georgia and a fervent fan, he enjoyed shouting "Go Dawgs!" as much as he treasured quiet afternoons perfecting his golf swing. He loved working in his yard, participating in fantasy sports, and was an avid sports enthusiast generally. His interest in politics, history, and traditions spoke to a mind ever curious and a conversation always lively. His absence will be felt profoundly, yet Bob's legacy of love and his ever-present smile will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known him.
