Leland- Roberto A. Tonnini, born on March 8, 1964, in San Marino, Italy, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025, in Leland, NC, at the age of 61.

Roberto was a man of great passion and dedication, known for his hard work and love for life. He spent many years working in construction, where his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence left a lasting impression on colleagues and friends alike.

A devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Roberto never missed a game and could often be found cheering on his favorite team with enthusiasm. His love for heavy metal and blues music was equally fervent, and he found joy in the powerful rhythms and melodies that filled his life. Above all, Roberto had a deep and abiding love for animals, a testament to his kind and compassionate nature.

Roberto graduated from St. John's Prep in Astoria, NY, where he formed lifelong friendships and cherished memories. He was preceded in death by his father, Marco Tonnini, whose memory he held dear throughout his life.

He is survived by his beloved spouse, Jessica Tonnini, who stood by his side through life's journey; his cherished daughter, Valorie Tonnini, who was the light of his life; his brother, Steven Tonnini, with whom he shared many adventures; and his loving mother, Marisa Tonnini, who nurtured him with love and wisdom.

Services for Roberto are not currently scheduled. His family appreciates the love and support during this difficult time and asks that those who wish to honor his memory do so by embracing the passions he held dear.

Roberto will be remembered for his warmth, his laughter, and the indelible mark he left on the hearts of those who knew him. May he rest in peace.
