Robert Larry Trinks

Robert Larry Trinks, 89, of Black Mountain, NC passed away Friday, January 16, 2026 at his home. Born September 6, 1936 in Marion, NC, he was a son of the late John and Mattie Trinks. For most of his life he was a self-employed flooring installer and attended Kerlee Heights Baptist Church in Black Mountain, NC. He walked almost everyday and enjoyed deer hunting whenever he had time. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his children, James Rocky "Bo Bo" Trinks, and Revonda Lynn Llorca; and all twelve of his siblings. Surviving are his children, Alan Larry Trinks and his spouse, Barbara, of Nebo, NC, Eddie Trinks of Swannanoa, NC, and John Paul Trinks of Marion, NC; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 1-3 pm on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Penland Family Funeral Home in Swannanoa, NC. No formal service will be held.
