Robert "Bob" E. Urey, age 84, of Ewing, NJ passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at his daughter's home in Mantua, NJ. Born in West Chester, PA, he graduated from Plymouth Whitemarsh High School Class of 1959. While attending high school, Robert was a dispatcher for the Whitemarsh Twp. Police Department. On June 27, 1959 he married his high school sweetheart, Helen "Bonnie" (nee Tatem). Robert worked for IUEC Local #5/Security Elevator Co where he was an elevator mechanic, followed by maintenance superintendent until 2000. He also had a travel trailer and visited many places which included Cape Cod, MA, Williamsburg, VA, Booth Bay, ME, and Toms Cove, VA. During his travel trailer days, he and his beloved wife, Bonnie, enjoyed trips to Ocean City, NJ. Robert loved all his animals, and his current canine companion Chloe, who loved to sit with him, get belly rubs, and take walks. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his wife and children, and he adored his grandchildren & great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Helen "Bonnie" Urey; two children, Tracy Wylie (Robert) and Robert "Doug" Urey (Andrea); grandchildren, Kimberly Pale (Brian), "Matt" Wylie (Alexa), Melissa Kostick (Brian), Megan Bowers (Josh); great grandchildren, Dylan, Kaden, Bryson, Madelena, Coleson, Ellianna, J.J., Luca, Carmela, Angelo and Giani; his sister, Sandy Johnson; and many nieces & nephews.
