Robert Dean Varnell passed from this life on August 6, 2022, at the age of 67, in Tulsa.
Robert better known to his friends and family as Bobby was born on May 4, 1955, in Yale, Oklahoma. The son of Mavis Dean and Rose Lee (Chambers) Varnell. Bobby always resided in the Mannford area until relocating to Sand Springs in 2003.
Bobby attended SHOW Adult Day Program in Sapulpa and was always up for a game of dominoes or arts and crafts. Despite his physical limitations Bobby loved life and people. He never met a stranger and always had a smile on his face. Listening to music especially Johnny Cash and watching old television shows were his pastimes.
Survivors are his sister Muriel Ann Austin and her husband Rick of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, two nephews Matthew Austin and his wife Haley their sons Hunter and Walker of Nowata, Oklahoma, Brian Austin and his wife Angela their sons Colton and Case of Nowata, Oklahoma and a host of extended family and friends. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents Mavis and Rose Lee Varnell, paternal grandparents Floyd and Myra Varnell, maternal grandparents Earl and Virgie Chambers.
Services will be held 10:30 am, Friday, August 12, 2022, at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home with Pastor David Head officiating. Family has requested memorial donations be made in honor of Bobby to SHOW Adult Day Center 425 West Wells Blvd, Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Burial will be held in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Mannford, Oklahoma. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements. Friends and family may visit an online guest book and memorial page for Robert at www.chapman-black.com.
