Robert Joseph Vleck

Robert Vleck was born in Omaha Nebraska on April 17, 1929. His father Joseph was 24 and his mother Marie was 23. His brothers Carl and Jim predeceased Robert as did his sister Barbara. Both brothers served in the military and are buried in the National Cemetery in Omaha Nebraska.
His sister Joann and spouse Ron of Georgia survive him. Also surviving are his daughters Barbara and spouse Dane, Treena and spouse Kevin, Judy and son David and spouse Mark. Surviving grandchildren are Stephanie and spouse Brent, Travis and spouse Erin, Kayce and spouse Jaden, Kristopher, Bailey and spouse Keith. Surviving great grandchildren are Riley, Kenzie, James and Georgia as well as many nieces and nephews.
Robert passed away on July 25th, 2025, in Sherman Texas. Coincidently, Robert was stationed at Perrin Airforce base in Sherman Tx in the early 50's. It was there that he met his 1st wife Elizabeth.
Irene Francis was the love of his life. While they never married, he loved her dearly and when she passed away, she was deeply missed. Our hope is that they are with each other in heaven.
His favorite prayers were the 23rd Psalm and the Lord's Prayer. It is the prayers that were recited as he passed from this world. He did not want a service but will be buried in the DFW National Cemetery, Dallas in accordance with his wishes.
In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made to Wreaths Across America. This organization places wreaths on the graves of veterans at Christmas time.
