Muncie - Robert (Bob) William Walker passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 4, after an illness. Born on September 15, 1933, near

He was second to the youngest of 10 children. His family moved to
Arcadia, Indiana when he was in high school. There he attended Jackson Central High School where he played football and ran track, and where he earned the nickname of Dynamite. After high school, he joined the Air Force and was stationed in Vermont, where he met his future wife, Edith Payea. Prior to marrying her, he converted to Catholicism and remained a Catholic for the rest of his life. Robert and Edith had two children, Robert (Robbie) and Carolyn. After studying and practicing accounting, Robert earned his graduate degree and joined the faculty in the College of Business at Ball State University where he remained for 30 years. He was also a C.P.A. and kept his license active into his 80's. In his later years, he spent time with Edith, including some traveling, walked frequently, and worked on a historical project focusing on his brother George's World War Two military unit.
