Robert Lee Warfel

MILLERSBURG - Robert Lee Warfel of Millersburg, went home to be with the lord on September 24, 2024. He was 73 years old.
He was born on July 3, 1951 in Halifax, the son of the late Lee Norman and June (Radel) Warfel. He was united in marriage on November 7, 1971 to Cheryle Schaffer.
He was a 1969 graduate of Halifax High School. He was also an Air Force Veteran with years of service from 1971 to 1975. He retired from Highmark in Camp Hill.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Cheryle (Schaffer) Warfel of Millersburg, daughter Melissa Warfel and wife Susan Morrow of St. Clair, and son Jason Warfel and wife Amy (Fetterolf) Warfel of Millersburg. He is also survived by a his grandson Paeton Warfel of Millersburg, granddaughter Jillian Warfel of Millersburg and step grandson Joshua Poda and wife Chelsea of St. Clair. He is survived by a sister, Doris Erdman of Millersburg, sister-in-law Cindy Warfel of Elizabethville and lifelong best friends Fred Liddick of Millersburg and Diana Wertz of Halifax, along with several nieces and a nephew.
He was preceded in death by his brother Randy Warfel of Elizabethville.
He was very passionate and thorough in completing genealogical histories of his and his wife's extended families. This led to him becoming a life member and Director of the museum of the Halifax Area Historical Society where he spent countless hours during his retirement.
He loved spoiling his dogs Pixie and Ebony. His favorite pastime was making memories with his Family and Friends
Honoring Robert's wishes, services will be private.
