Robert L. Weber

Robert L. Weber, age 91, passed away on May 30, 2024, in North Muskegon, Michigan. He was born in Traverse City, Michigan, on September 3, 1932, to Lawrence and Ione (Davis) Weber.
Robert graduated from St. Francis High School in 1950. At a young 16, he flew his first solo flight as a Civil Air Patrolman. He married Noreen White and raised 8 children. Robert had a heart of service when he enlisted in the US Air Force stationed primarily in Virginia and Iceland. He returned to Traverse City, MI to work at Cone Drive Gears as an industrial electrician. He also worked as a Peninsula Twp. volunteer fireman. As a member of the Eagles 383 in Traverse City, he was on the board and president from 1983-1984. He married the love of his life, Jane M. Walker on August 1, 1981, at Samuel Lutheran Church. After his retirement in 1987, he permanently moved to North Muskegon, MI. Robert was a part of the Muskegon Shoreline Chorus and a local Barber Shop Quartet. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and strategic card player especially when it came to Euchre. Most of all he loved spending time with family and was known for his famous quote of "Keep Smiling." He is survived by his loving wife, Jane M. Weber; his children: Robert Weber, Peggy (Patrick) Deering, Craig (Lisa) Weber, Theodore (Nancy) Weber, Thomas (Lisa) Weber, Randal (Kim) Weber, and Brenda Weber; stepdaughter: Jodi Blaschum (Patrick Rickard); plus 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Ione Weber, and son Curtis Weber. A GRAVESIDE SERVICE will take place at Laketon Twp. Cemetery on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 10:00 am.
