Robert "Bob" William Weber, age 77 of New London, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones, at his home on Saturday, November 29, 2025. Bob was born on September 11, 1948 in Rhinelander, to the late George and Eva Weber. Bob was a 1966 graduate of Northland Pines High School in Eagle River. He proudly served his country as a Records Clerk in the US Army from 1969 – 1971, stationed in Vietnam. After returning from the service, he was an insurance salesman, as well as a Social Worker. Bob made a career of working for the US Post Office for 25 years, mainly in Crandon. On March 21, 2012, Bob married his sweetheart, Patty Prinsen and they made their home in New London. In later years, Bob felt honored and privileged to take the Honor Flight in 2022. The experience was very memorable for him. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 53. In his younger years, Bob took interest in deer hunting and loved to go fishing. He loved old cars and owned several, including a '65 Barracuda. When he was able, Bob enjoyed going to car shows. Together, Bob and Patty loved to hunt for treasures at thrift stores and rummage sales, take an occasional trip to the casino and go out to eat at Longhorn Steakhouse, Perkins and Muddy Waters. He was a huge Brewers and Packers fan and enjoyed watching CNN and Westerns. Bob knew his Western trivia!
