Robert Weiland Obituary
Saginaw, Michigan
Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and coach passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2026, surrounded by his family. Age 90 years. Son of the late Paul and Elizabeth (McCann) Weiland, Robert was born May 13, 1935, in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Sandra Willmar on August 18, 1962. She predeceased him January 3, 2020. Bob was proud to serve in the U.S. Army and was a member of American Legion Post #439 and V.F.W. Post #9809. Bob was employed at Saginaw Steering Gear as a job setter for 45 years. He enjoyed camping, bowling and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving to cherish his memory are one daughter and one son, Caryn Weiland, Canton, Michigan; Rob and Cheryl Weiland, Canton, Michigan; three grandchildren, Blake Weiland, Clarke and Gabi Weiland, and Owen Weiland; a great-grandson, Baxlie Weiland; one sister, Mary Krenz, Gaylord, Michigan; and beloved nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by a sister, Elemere Wanek.
Honoring Mr. Weiland's wishes, cremation has taken place and entombment of cremains will take place in Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
