Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother passed away peacefully, Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Traditions of Saginaw. Age 88 years. Son of the late Howard and Mary (Rilko) Krogman, Robert was born March 30, 1937, in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Marilyn Jean Gaertner, his loving wife of 67 years, on August 9, 1958. She survives him. Robert took on the family tradition as a tool and die maker at Helfrecht Machine Co., Miles Machinery, Allied Tool and Die, Huron Tool, and Micron Precision retiring in 2019. He was a longtime member of St. Dominic Catholic Church and a member of its choir. Robert was a lifetime member of the Saginaw YMCA and enjoyed racquetball and swimming. He was the captain of the Arthur Hill High School swim team. He was an avid sports fan, and especially loved baseball as a player and fan. Robert was a longtime baseball coach in the Saginaw Township North Little League Program. Robert and Marilyn enjoyed spending time at their cottage in Huron City.

Surviving besides his wife Marilyn are one daughter and two sons, Kelly and Jack Ferchau, Freeland; Darrin and Kelly Krogman, Roscommon; Bryan and Tamara Krogman, Mt. Pleasant; ten grandchildren, Jessica and Daniel Fodrocy, Chelsea and Thomas Westhoff, Mitchell and Hong Krogman, Kacie Krogman Vela and her husband Austin Vela, Marki Keusch, Emily Krogman, Peter and Anna Krogman, Benjamin Krogman, Josiah and Elise Krogman, Jeremy Krogman; eight great-grandchildren, Emma, Benjamin, Jaxson, Grant, Roman, Amelia, Clara, Ezra and one on the way; two sisters and two brothers, James and Phil-Anne Krogman, Debra Engers, Barbara and Hassan Movahhed and John and Patti Krogman; many nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Weadock and a brother, Norman Krogman.

Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 6, 2026, at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 1310 Malzahn St., Saginaw. Rev. Fr. John R. Johnson will officiate with entombment in Mt. Olivet Mausoleum. Friends may visit at the church, where the family will be present on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Dominic Parish or the charity of your choice. So sorry to read of Bob passing. May the peace of our Lord Jesus be with you.
We are back living in Sag again after 28 years but spend your cold winters in Arizona, therefore won't be able to come to Bobs service.
