Robert Edward Welch

Robert "Bob" Welch passed away on the morning of May 26, 2025. He was 70 years old.
Bob was born in Brockton, MA, on March 6, 1955, to Edward and Pearl (Murphy) Welch. He studied Business at the University of Massachusetts and most recently lived in Medfield, MA with his wife of 47 years, Barbara (Bellak) Welch, in the same home where they raised their three children. He spent the majority of his career in management consulting. After retiring in 2020, Bob joined SCORE, a program which offers free mentorship services to entrepreneurs, and continued his volunteer work with the Lions Club in Medfield. Bob was intelligent, caring, kind and had an amazing sense of humor. His many hobbies included fly fishing, history, reading and travelling, but what he loved most was spending time with his family. Bob loved his role as Grampa and his grandchildren adored him. He had a profound impact on those he loved.
He is survived by his wife Barbara; son John Welch, daughter-in-law Meghan Hassinger, and grandchildren Sienna, Lillian and Conor of Norfolk, Ma; son Michael Welch, and daughter-in-law Rachael (Palumbo) Welch, and granddaughters Vivian and Ava of Norfolk, MA; daughter Brittany (Welch) Williams and son-in-law Cedric Williams, and grandchildren Caleb and Isla, of Millis, Ma and many relatives and friends.
Visiting hours will be held at the Roberts Mitchell Caruso Funeral Home at 15 Miller Street in Medfield, MA on Friday, June 20th from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
